SAMBA, July 30: The People of Kothi Morh area of Bari Brahmana today held a protest demonstration against the Power Development Department (PDD) at Kothi Morh area of Bari Brahmana in district Samba.
A large number of residents of Kothi Morh gathered in front of the Power Development Department office at Bari Brahmana and raised slogans against the officers of the department. They alleged that the Kothi Morh has plunged into darkness for the last seven days but the department keeps mum and has failed to restore power supply in the area. They further said that for the last seven days they are facing a lot of trouble without power supply during the scorching heat and the old age persons and newly born babies are also suffering.
They said although the officers of the department better know their problem but failed to restore the power supply.
They warned if the power supply was not restored soon then they would be forced to come on the road.
