Friends Cricket Club lifts Champions Trophy

JAMMU, Aug 4: Friends Cricket Club (FCC) beats Kavi XI by 6 wickets in the final and lifted the title trophy of the Champions Trophy played at Government Higher Secondary Akhnoor.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, Kavi XI scored 124 runs by losing 8 wickets in 20 overs. Bhanu was the top scorer with 26 runs, while Anil made 22 runs and Shera chipped in 17 runs.
From FCC, Arun Singh, Jessu and Arun Kumar shared 2 wickets each.
While chasing the target, FCC won the match with six wickets in the hand. Vipan scored 64 runs, while Arun Singh scored 22 and Sumit scored 20 runs.
From Kavi XI, Deepu got 4 wickets.
The tournament was organized by Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor under the supervision of Sham Singh Langeh President Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor.
Ankush Sham Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion, while Councilor Rakesh Malhotra was guest of honor and Councilor Depesh Singh and Shilpa Mahajan were special guests.
Dayal Singh and Vikas Bali acted as umpires while Sushil Gupta and Lucky maintained the scoreboard.
Others who were present were Rajinder Sharma, Anil Sharma, Jimmy Mani, Shiv Parkash, Chandan, Rohit Kumar, etc.
