JAMMU, Aug 6: Laying of foundation stone of Shri Ram temple at Ayodhya today was marked with celebrations and greetings by various organizations and individuals at Jammu.
Joining the foundation stone laying ceremony online, Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha celebrated the occasion by lighting 100 earthen lamps. The members of the Sabha under the chairmanship of Romesh Chander Gupta, President of JCMS, assembled at Mahajan Bhawan Shalamar Road Jammu and distributed sweets amongst the participants. On the occasion, the Sabha recalled the contribution of Prof Chaman Lal Gupta, Kuldeep Raj Gupta, Late Mohan Lal Gupta (Sarwal) and Om Parkash Gupta who look active part in struggle for the construction of Ram Mandir in the premises of Ram Janam Bhoomi at Ayodhya.
Those who were present in the function, included Romesh Chander Gupta, Yash Paul Gupta, Shiv Partap Gupta, Om Parkash Mahajan (Kaku Shah), Om Parkash Gupta, Sanjay Mahajan, Dr Mohan Lal Gupta, Arun Gupta, C P Gupta, Mukesh Mahajan, Balbir Gupta, Satish Chander Gupta, Romesh Chander Gupta (Bartanwale), Ashwani Gupta and Darshan Gupta.
A meeting of Arya Pratinidhi Sabha, Jammu and Kashmir was held under the chairmanship of Arun Chowdhary, president of the Sabha, at Arya Samaj, Rehari Colony, Jammu during the time of convening of Shri Ram Janam Bhoomi Pujan at Ayodhya. The meeting was attended by the Presidents and General Secretaries of all the Arya Samajs of Jammu.
Vedic Mantras were chanted followed by loud slogans of Jai Shri Ram. Councilor of Ward No. 25, Arun Khanna also joined the function. All the members, accompanied by the President of Arya Pratinidhi Sabha Jammu Kashmir, distributed Laddoos among all the shopkeepers of Rehari Colony market as well as to the passers-by at the time of “Shilanayas at Ayodhya” by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Celebrating the occasion, Enso Craft India – a fast growing Handicraft company, presented a beautiful designer flower pot to BJP general secretary (Org ) Ashok Kaul at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu. The designer pot was placed on the entrance of BJP headquarters.
Speaking on the occasion, Ashok Kaul said that it was a historic day for everyone. “All activists of BJP, as well as the common masses, are full of enthusiasm on the occasion of Shree Ram Mandir Shila Nyas and the completion of one year of abrogation of Article 370,” he added.
J&K BJP spokesperson Abhijeet Jasrotia said that this was beginning of new era for J&K and everyone should participate in the building of new J&K. J&K BJP office secretary Tilak Raj Gupta, media secretary Dr Pardeep Mahotra, Naresh Singh, Kulbhushan Mohtra, Gaurav Pargal and others were also present on the occasion.
Bharat Raksha Manch, J&K unit celebrated ‘Bhoomi Poojan’ of Shri Ram Mandir by organizing a function at Old Mandi, Shri Hanuman Temple Complex. The celebration started with lighting of a lamp by Mahant Narasimha Nand Maharaj. On the occasion, Advocate Purnima Sharma, Deputy Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation was the chief guest.
The programme was organized under the leadership of Dr Yog Raj, President of Bharat Raksha Manch. Rajendra Malhotra, Mohinder Pal Gupta, Satpal Hindu, Rohit Bajrangi, Binny Mahajan, Ranjana Gandotra, Veena Sharma, Maravi Gupta, Deepak Sharma, Pawan Kundal, Rikki Triathia and Sanjeev were among others present on the occasion.
The workers of Dogra Front and Shiv Sena, under the leadership of president Ashok Gupta, held a grand celebration for the occasion. The celebrations were held at Rani Park where a massive 20 feet poster of Lord Ram was displayed and 200 Diyas and candles were lightened . The idols of Bhagwan Ram, Laxman, Mata Sita and Lord Hanuman were showered with flowers.
Speaking on the occasion, Ashok Gupta said that upcoming Ram temple complex will become a symbol of modern India based on the ideals of Ramrajya. Abhishek, Kalu, Prem Dutt, Naresh and others also spoke on the occasion.
Congress leaders also celebrated foundation stone laying ceremony of Ram Temple by organizing Sunder Kand and Hanuman Challisa at Kargil Hanuman Temple Udhampur. A large number of devotees and Congress activists took part in the celebration. After the Sunder Kand and Hanuman Challisa recital, Halwa was distributed among the gathering and local shopkeepers. In this occasion veteran Congress leader Brij Mohan Sharma was also present.
Senior Congress leader Sumeet Magotra, who organized the programme, reminded that it was then Prime Minister Rajeev Gandhi in 1989, who had initiated to open the doors of Ram Janam Bhumi for worship but Congress never politicize this issue.
To celebrate the occasion, a function was organised by All Kashmir Pandit Welfare society, Haridwar under the chairmanship of Arzan Nath Bhat President.
During the function at Geeta Bhawan Muthi, Shuban Pandit, Vice President KDD, graced the occasion with his presence and hoisted the National Flag along with Justice B L Bhat. A large gathering attended the meeting.
