JAMMU, Aug 12: J&K Unit of Shiv Sena Bala Saheb Thackeray here today staged a protest demonstration alleging regional discrimination in government jobs.
The protest was led by Shiv Sena J&K president, Manish Sahni who condemned the employment notice of J&K Health Department for the appointment of Lecturers in Kashmir Division for which applications were invited from the candidates of Kashmir Division only.
Sahni called this as discrimination with Jammu region and said that it is a conspiracy aiming at regional division.
He appealed to J&K Lieutenant Governor to instruct the concerned department to stop such experiments as the same may divide people.
He further said, after the abrogation of Article 370 and 35-A there was a hope that regional discriminatory will end and there will be equal rights to both the division of Jammu and Kashmir.
Shiv Sena General Secretary, Vikas Bakshi; Working President, Ashwani Gupta; Secretary, Raj Singh; Joint Secretary, Raju Salaria; Sanjeev Soodan, Geeta Rani and Simple Kumar were also present in the protest.
