JAMMU, Apr 19: IRP-3rd Battalion crushed IRP-19th Battalion in the final and lifted the title trophy of the Basketball event in men category organised during the ongoing Inter-Battalion Tournament by Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP), here today.
In Football final, IRP-17th Battalion trounced IRP-19th Battalion by 2-1 goals and lifted the title trophy. For IRP-17th Battalion side, Vikram Dogra and Zahoor Ahmad scored the goals, whereas from IRP-19th Battalion side, Masroor Ahmad chipped in goal
In Handball (Men) final, IRP-17th Battalion registered 21-20 goals victory over IRP-19th Battalion and claimed the title trophy.
In Hockey final, IRP-19th Battalion registered 2-0 goals victory over IRP-4th Battalion and emerged winner.
In Kabaddi (Women) final, IRP-15th Battalion trounced IRP-17th Battalion by 20-15 points and claimed the title trophy.
In Lawn Tennis (GOs), Sanjay Kotwal and Sanjay Parihar will lock horns on the final. Earlier, in the first semis, Sanjay Kotwal thrashed Swaran Singh Jungi, whereas in the second semifinal, Vijay Singh Sambyal lost to Sanjay Parihar.
In Table Tennis (GOs) final, T Punchok lost to Swaran Singh Jungi by 2-1 sets. In the first set, T Punchok registered win by 21-15 points, whereas in the second set, Swaran Singh Jungi registered win by 21-13 and equalized the set. In the decider game, Swaran Singh Jungi thrashed T Punchok by 21-17 and lifted the title trophy.
In Weight Lifting (Women), Sangeeta and Ishrat, both from IRP-15th Battalion registered wins in 48 kg category, Sapna Devi and Menhanz Kousar, both from IRP-15th Battalion registered wins in 53 kg category, Anita Kotwal and Khalida, both from IRP-15th Battalion registered wins in 58 kg category, Kunzes Dolma of IRP-19th Battalion and Amita Kumari of JKAP-6th Battalion registered wins in 63 kg category, Rita Massi of IRP-15th Battalion and Muneera of JKAP-6th Battalion claimed first and second positions respectively in 69 kg category, Sonia Choudhary and Manju, both from IRP-15th Battalion registered wins in 75 kg category, Naseema Bano and Zeenat Chouhan, both from IRP-15th Battalion registered wins in above 75 kg category.

In 100 meters, Simmy Sharma of IRP 15th Battalion, Anita Devi of IRP-19th Battalion and Feroza Akhter claimed first, second and third positions respectively.
In 200 meters, Mehnaz of IRP-15th Battalion, Anita Devi of IRP-19th Battalion and Poorna of IRP-15th Battalion claimed first, second and third positions respectively.
In 400 meters, Mehnaz of IRP-15th Battalion, Tsering Dolker of IRP-17th Battalion and Komal Koul of IRP-15th Battalion secured first, second and third positions respectively.
In 800 meters, Mehnaz and Poorna, both from IRP-15th Battalion secured first and second positions respectively, while, Muneera of JKAP-6th Battalion secured third position.
In Long-Jump, Simmy Sharma and Sangeeta Koul, both from IRP-15th Battalion secured first and second positions respectively, while the third rank was claimed by Dimple Kotwal of JKAP-6th Battalion.
In Shot-Put, Jasvinder Kour of IRP-15th Battalion, Krishna of JKAP-6th Battalion and Salma Bano of IRP-19th Battalion emerged winners.
In Javelin Throw, Jyoti and Manju, both from IRP-15th Battalion and Salma Bano of IRP-19th Battalion registered wins.
In Discuss Throw, Jasvinder Kour and Simmy Sharma, both from IRP-15th Battalion claimed first and second positions respectively, while Parveen Akhter of IRP-17th Battalion secured third position.
In 4×100 meters, Mehnaz, Kiran, Sangeeta and Simmy Sharma, all from IRP-15th Battalion claimed first position, while Shallu Sharma, Sanjeevani, Tsering and Parveen, all from IRP-17th Battalion claimed second position. The third rank was bagged by Anita, Neeta, Fatima and Kunzes, all from IRP-19th Battalion.
