JAMMU, Apr 20: Gursimran, Saijal, Ankit, Somya and Garima claimed gold medals on the third day of the ongoing Roller Skating Championship, being organised by Millo’s Roller Skating Club at Shiva Roller Skating Institute, Peerkho, here today.
Inline 100 meter event, Gursimran claimed gold medal in 6 to 8 years girls category.
In 8 to 10 years boys category, Jaipreet, Jaskaran and Eklavya claimed gold, silver and bronze medals respectively, whereas in girls category, Sanch emerged winner.
In 10 to 12 years boys category, Vansh, Parth and Aryan emerged winners, whereas in girls category Divya and Ananya secured gold and bronze medals respectively.
In 12 to 14 years boys category, Ankit and Ayush claimed gold and silver medals respectively, whereas, Somya and Ria emerged winners in girls category.
In Quards event, Shavrya and Paritosh claimed gold and silver medals respectively, while the bronze medal was shared by Nirbhay and Dhruv in below 6 years boys category, whereas, in girls category, Garima emerged winner.
In 6 to 8 years boys category, Yuvraj, Lavish and Aakarshit emerged winners, whereas, in girls category, Arshita and Aafreen claimed gold and silver medals respectively.
In 8 to 10 years boys category, Abshishek, Kartikeya and Vanshaj claimed gold, silver and bronze medals respectively, while, in girls category, Aakriti claimed gold medal, Vasumana secured silver medal, Palak and Janvi bagged bronze medals.
In 10 to 12 years boys category, Tushar, Panini and Akash emerged winners, whereas, in girls category, Zitin, Akshita and Pragati secured first, second and third positions respectively.
In 12 to 14 years boys category, Dhruv, Rakshit and Drishint claimed gold, silver and bronze medals respectively, while Saijal, Srishti and Vanshika emerged winners in girls category.
In 14 to 16 years boys category, Pallav, Lakshay and Manit claimed first, second and third positions respectively.
In Loose bearing event, Priyanshu, Priyansh and Krishna emerged winners in below 6 years boys category, whereas, Jasleen Kour claimed gold medal in girls category.
In 6 to 8 years boys category, Sahildeep, Amansaleem and Aditya secured first three ranks, while Prisha and Javial claimed first and second positions respectively in girls category.
In 8 to 10 years boys category, Harshit, Sannat and Sparsh claimed gold, silver and bronze medals respectively, while Suhani, Dhriti and Ifra emerged winners in girls category.
In 10 to 12 years boys category, Naman, Uddyal and Ashish emerged winners.
In 12 to 14 years boys category, Aakash and Anurag claimed first and second positions respectively.
During the prize distribution function, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) VK Singh was the chief guest, who distributed medals among the winners vis-à-vis participating players in presence of Kamal Anand, organizing secretary, Roshan Gupta, president, Millo’s roller skating club and other officials of the club.
While speaking, ADGP highlighted the importance of the sports in day to day life. He asked the students to participate in the sports activities to keep their body mentally and physically fit.
