JAMMU, Aug 24: Bahu Fort Police arrested a youth for stabbing a minor boy within half an hour.
As per police sources, a youth identified as Anil Kumar, son of Hari Lal of Bhagalpur Bihar, at present Sector 3 Extension Trikuta Nagar took one child namely Shakti Kumar (6), son of Jai Parkash of Bhagalpur Bihar, at present Sector 3 Extension Trikuta Nagar to his hutment and stabbed him severely with sharp edged weapon.
The boy raised hue and cry after which some people rushed to the spot.
The profusely bleeding child was immediately shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where he was undergoing treatment, when last reports came in.
On getting information, a team from Bahu Fort Police Station led by SHO Inspector Deepak Pathania conducted raids in different areas and nabbed the stabber along with weapon of offence (knife) within half an hour.
A case under FIR Number 209/2020 under Section 307 and 342 IPC and 4/25 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and investigation has been initiated.
