SRINAGAR, Aug 24: Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) kick started sports activities, here today.
The activities were inaugurated by DYSSO Srinagar Balbir Singh.
The activities are being organized in the disciplines of Cricket, Football and Kho Kho.
The matches were played at different venues under the supervision of Zonal Physical Oficers of different sports zones of district Srinagar.
In Kho Kho matches being played at GHSS Chattabal Srinagar defeated Gulab Bagh Zone defeated Batmaloo Zone, Nishat Zone beat Eidgah Zone, Amirakadal Zone defeated Zaldagar Zone and Hawal Zone defeated Rainawari Zone.
In Football Tournament, being played at Gindun Ground Rajbagh, Zaldagar Zone defeated Batmaloo Zone, Hawal Zone defeated Nishat Zone and Amirakadal Zone was given walkover.
Cricket Tournament is being played at two venues BHSS Zadibal and BHSS MPML, Bagh-e-Dilawar Khan. Eidgah defeated Rainawari, Hawal defeats Nishat, Batmaloo defeated Gulab Bagh and Amirakadal trounced Zaldagar.
The final matches will be played tomorrow.
