JAMMU, Aug 29: Online week long international workshop on “Career Awareness and Role of Physical Education for Healthy Lifestyle”, organised by GDC Ramnagar concluded today.
Dr Udhey Bhanu, College Principal welcomed the chief guest Rashid Haroon, DD National Sports Anchor and guest speaker of the session, Rakesh Kumar, former Sports Officer MPPSC, whereas Mukesh Sharma, organizing secretary of the workshop, hosted the session.
The guest speaker spoke on the topic of “Awards and policies to promote physical education and sports”. He also elaborated on the policies by Sports Authority of India for promotion and development of sports.
The chief-guest presented concluding remarks by highlighting the tremendous amount of work being done by Government of India in the field of sports and suggested the need for the more fair selection policies in future. He also acknowledged the role of Indian women sports player for getting medals for the country and need for encouraging the women of India to participate in the sports.
Vote of thanks was presented by Mukesh Sharma, organising secretary of the event.
