JAMMU, Sept 18: Army hawaldar allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his service weapon in Rakh Muthi area of Jourian, a police official said.
The deceased was identified as Harvinder Singh, son of Sukhdev Singh, a resident of Moga, Punjab.
After completing medical and legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
Jourian police has taken cognizance in this regard.
