Hunger strike from Sept 21 for Hari Singh’s birth anniv holiday demand

JAMMU, Sept 18: Demanding a holiday on September 23 to celebrate the birth anniversary of last Dogra ruler of erstwhile J&K State, Shri Amar Kshatriya Rajput Kumar Sabha (Youth Wing) president, Pawan Chib and youth volunteers will stage a hunger strike protest.
A handout of Sabha stated that the hunger strike will start on September 21 near Maharaja Hari Singh statue at Tawi Bridge here and it will culminate on September 23.
Rajput Kumar Sabha has appealed to the Central Government and J&K UT administration to declare a holiday on the birth anniversary of last Dogra ruler of J&K, Maharaja Hari Singh.
Youth Rajput Sabha president, Pawan Chib informed, on many occasions the Government has promised in a positive manner on the issue but the promise made to the people of Jammu has not been fulfilled so far resulting which the people are feeling that their sentiments are hurt.
Chib appealed to the people of Jammu to show solidarity in the hunger strike for moral support while maintaining social distance.
