Mir supports demands of agitating KPs

SRINAGAR, Sept 29: J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President, G.A Mir here today visited Kashmiri Pandits (KPs) protesting under the banner of Kashmiri Pandit Sangarsh Samiti and supported their genuine demands.
The agitating KPs are demanding extension of PM’s job package, accommodation to all deserving non-migrant families and resolution of various other issues concerning them.
Speaking on the occasion Mir said, present dispensation is ignoring the genuine demands of every section in J&K which has suffered enormously in one way or the way.
“The people of J&K were made to suffer for no fault of theirs,” Mir claimed adding that mere tall claims with regard to resolution of various issues concerning the people would not serve any purpose rather the Government must take effective measures to address the genuine issues of KPs and others living in J&K.
The Congress leader urged upon the Central Government to fulfil its promises.
Those who accompanied Mir were General Secretaries PCC, Surinder Singh Channi; Shameema Iqbal, DCC President; Abdul Gani Khan, Mohd Sultan, Mir Rovais, Waseem Shalla, Mohd Ashraf and others.
