MAHORE, Apr 25: Brilliant all-round performance by Arif guided Hassote XI to a narrow win by 13 runs over Hill XI Sungri in the summit clash of the T-20 Cricket title at Army Ground Chassana, here today.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, Hassote scored a modest total of 103 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Arif was the top scorer with 29 runs, while Tanvir contributed 23 runs to the total. For Hill XI, Mushtaq scalped 3 wickets, while Arshad claimed 2 wickets.
In reply, Hill XI bundled out for 90 runs in 19.1 overs, thus lost the match by a narrow margin of 13 runs. Rinku, Mushtaq and Firdoos scored 13, 12 and 10 runs respectively. For Hassote XI, Arif was the wrecker-in-chief, who claimed 4 wickets, while Lalu and Jasbir bagged 2 wickets each. Arif was declared man of the match for his splendid all-round show.
SDPO Mahore, Moshim Ahmad was the chief guest who distributed prizes among the winners and runners-up teams.
