KATHUA, Apr 25: Wheat crop spreading over 50 kanals of land has been completely destroyed in a fire which was caused due to short circuit of the LT Lines running over the paddy fields in Shan Tanda border area of Hiranagar in Kathua district today.
According to reports the wheat crop spreading over 50 kanals of land belonging to Prem Chand and Subash Chander the residents of the same area was completely destroyed in the fire which was caused due to short circuit of LT Lines running over the fields. However till the fire brigade reached the area the fire was brought under control by the farmers.
Meanwhile, 105 bundles of wheat belonging to Bishan Dass of Magloor Sant caught fire when the thrasher on which it was being thrashed caught fire due to short circuit today.
The thrasher also suffered a damage in the fire.
