JAMMU, Oct 7: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has awarded Dr Rajeshwar Sharma, Medical Superintendent Chest Diseases Hospital and Dr Arun Sharma, Medical Superintendent Super Specialty Hospital with additional charge of Maternity Hospital Gandhi Nagar which has been designated as COVID Hospital for their extraordinary efforts in COVID management in the hospitals.
The Award carrying ‘Certificate of Appreciation’ has been given to Dr Rajeshwar Sharma and Dr Arun Sharma by Financial Commissioner Health and Medical Education Atal Dulloo.
Lauding the services of Dr Arun Sharma and Dr Rajeshwar Sharma at this critical juncture of pandemic, the Government award described them as real heros of the Union Territory and said it valued their every single effort to save lives of people during challenging times.
Dr Arun Sharma had won applause from the COVID patients admitted in Gandhi Nagar Maternity hospital for the facilities and the care rendered to them during their period of admission.
Dr Rajeshwar Sharma is credited with effective COVID management in CD Hospital.
