JAMMU, Oct, 10: Media-XI CC Jammu registered a win over Sterlite Cricket Club by a margin of 14 runs at Phalian Mandal Ground, here today.
After winning the toss, Media-XI Cricket Club led by Mir Imran chose to bat first and scored 145 runs for loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. Pardeep Singh Bali was the top scorer with 47 runs in 35 balls, while Aqib Rather scored 34 runs off 15 balls and Akshay made 20 runs in 8 balls.
For Sterlite CC, Kulwant and Bhupinder Singh took 3 wickets each while Prince took two wickets.
Chasing the target Sterlite CC led by Harpal Singh bundled out at 131 runs and lost the match by a margin of 14 runs. Gourav Gupta scored 34 in 31 Balls whereas Nittan and Prince contributed 22 and 12 runs respectively.
Akshay Manhas was declared as Man of the Match for his outstanding performance with bat and ball.
