SRINAGAR, Apr 26: Scores of Rehabar-e-Taleem teachers today assembled at Zonal Education Office, Beerwah in central Kashmir’s Budgam district and staged protests for not releasing their wages on time.
The ReTs asked the employees working in the ZEO office to vacate the office then locked it as a mark of protests.
They also appealed Government and concerned officials to fulfill their promises made to them during last one decade-including implementation SRO 43 and conversion of Education Volunteers (EV) on 5+2 pattern as teacher grade.
The forum also has demanded that the State Government frame a transfer policy for ReT teachers, induction of Education Volunteers converted into ReT in SRO 43 besides considering their other genuine demands.
