JPS student shines in virtual marathons

JAMMU, Oct 15: Uday Vir Narang, a class 4th student of Jodhamal Public School (JPS) participated in different virtual international marathon races and clinched numerous awards.
Recently, Uday Vir Narang participated in Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon VC 3K, Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon VC 5K, Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon VC 6K, Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon VC 7K, Magic of Hawaii 5K Marathon, Run and Roll Race 2020 5K and World Unity Run 5K.
In the last seven months, Uday Vir participated in eight ‘International Races’ and in every race, he has been improving his performance. His father is an inspiration and guiding force for him who nurtured carefully his talent and made every effort to make him strong both physically and mentally.
Principal, Dr Deep Khare and Trustee, Nandan Kuthiala appreciated the Uday Vir for achieving international platform at such a young age.
It is pertinent to mention here that Uday Vir Narang had always been a child interested in sports and always had a flare for outdoor activities. However, he is a prolific cricket player and he had been more into other games than running but his natural calling turned out to be running. During lockdown, he started taking his new found passion for running more seriously and his father always encouraged him to take the sport seriously.
