Samadhi Diwas of Dewarika Nath Shastri observed

JAMMU, Apr 27: 22nd Samadhi Diwas of Shree Dewarika Nath Shastri was observed with great devotion at village Sohanjana.
Hundreds of people including devotees took part in the programme, during which renowned religious and Sanskrit scholars delivered sermons and discourses.
Abhishek ceremony was performed in the morning at Holy Samadhi Sthal followed by discourses by eminent saints. Akhand Paath of Holy Ramayana was also solemnized.
The whole program was organized and managed by Shree Dewarika Nath Shastri ji Service Trust.
It is pertinent to mention here that Shastri ji along with Sati Maa Champa Ji entered into Holy Agni Samadhi at about 4 am on April 27, 1992 at Tawi islands in adjoining village Sohanjana in short span of 32 years of his life. Later, one of their disciples Rashpal Kumar also took samadhi at the same place the same day.
Renowned as Shastri Maharaj, he used to render discourse in the religious ceremonies not only in J&K, but in other parts of the country including Punjab, UP and Himachal Pradesh.
