NEW DELHI, Apr 28: Swedish cosmetics major Oriflame plans to launch 200 products in India across various categories, including skincare and fragrances, in the current year.
“We really believe in the market of India. We are opening more offices here. Also, this year we will be launching 200 new products in the country,” Oriflame India Managing Director Niklas Frisk told PTI.
The company, which is present in India through its wholly- owned arm Oriflame India, currently markets a portfolio of 550 products in the country.
The firm, which currently sells its products across 15 states in the country, is also planning to expand its footprint in the remaining states as well.
“By 2016, we want to reach 90 per cent of population in India, its our stated goal,” Frisk said.
The company, which has over 2.5 lakh consultants across the country, is also looking to enter new segments, he added.
Oriflame India had recently acquired a manufacturing facility in Uttarakhand to cater to wellness segment in India as well as other Asian countries.
The company, which markets products across five key categories–colour cosmetics, skin care, personal and hair care, fragrances and accessories, is looking to open more offices in the country to reach out to customers.
It currently has offices in 15 cities, including Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata.
Oriflame, a Euro 1.5 billion company, markets various products, including fragrances and cosmetics through its sales force in more than 60 countries. (PTI)
