High Court organizes Awareness-cum-Training for Judicial Officers

JAMMU, Apr 28: On the instructions of e-Court committee Supreme Court of India and the Chief Justice, M. M Kumar and Justice Mansoor Ahmad Mir, Judge Incharge e-Court Committee, High Court the continued training on “Ubuntu Linux Awareness Cum Training Programme under Change Management” for the Judicial Officers of Jammu and Samba districts was held on April 28, 2013 at State Judicial Academy.
Judicial Officers of district Jammu and Samba were imparted training on use of Ubuntu Operating System customized by e-Committee, Supreme Court of India. The training was conducted by Master Trainers Umesh Sharma and Sarfaraz Nawaz.
Similar training programme in two different batches was also held at High Court Complex Srinagar. The Judicial Officer of district Srinagar & Ganderbal in one batch and Judicial Officers of district Baramulla and Budgam in other batch participated in the “Ubuntu Linux Awareness Cum Training Programme under Change Management”.
Proficient Master Trainers Rashid Ali Dar, Parvez Kachroo, Shahzad Azeem and Shabir Ahmad Malik imparted the training on the occasion.
Khalil Choudhary, Central Project Co-ordinator (e-Courts), High Court of Jammu and Kashmir harmonized these “Awareness cum Training Programs” for the Judicial Officers of the State.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Choudhary said the key purpose of the training programme is to aware the Judicial Officers on the use of Ubuntu Operating System and other applications which are open source and can be easily installed. He said that this Operating System has low virus threat, very stable, secure and having an enormous free software library.
Incharge NIC, High Court Jammu wing Kiran Kumar Koul and Incharge NIC, High Court Srinagar wing, Syed Zulfikar and e-Court Technical Staff namely Nikhil Kohli, Mohammad Shadab Khan, Naresh Kumar Bhagat, Gagandeep Singh, Rizwan, Faheem and Pawan Verma extended all the technical support in making the programme successful.
