Development of Raja Jambulochan Park commences

JAMMU, Apr 28: Senior Congress leader and former National general secretary of Indian National Youth Congress (INYC), Vikram Malhotra along with Mahant Shri Rameshwar Das Ji Maharaj of ancient Shri Ram Temple, Purani Mandi on Sunday kick started development cum renovation of Raja Jambulochan Park at Purani Mandi in Ward No. 11 of Jammu city.
The said public park, which is located in front of the historic Shri Hanuman Temple at Purani Mandi, was in deplorable condition for long time and in this regard, the Traders Association of Purani Mandi market had approached the Chairman, Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Council, Amrit Malhotra and highlighted the issue before him.
Keeping in view the plight of the people of Purani Mandi area, Chairman, J&K Legislative Council, Amrit Malhotra provided financial assistance of Rs. 04 lakh from his Constituency Development Fund (CDF), out of which Rs. 02 lakh have already been released for immediate start of development cum renovation work of this park.
Today, Vikram Malhotra in the presence of Mahant Shri Rameshwar Das Ji Maharaj Mandi and a large number of prominent persons of the area, inaugurated the development and renovation work of the Park.
