JAMMU, Nov 3: Police arrested two drug peddlers along with contraband.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Narwal Police Post led by SI Vikas Jasrotia under the supervision of SHO Bahu Fort Inspector Deepak Pathania during patrolling apprehended a man along with 300 grams cannabis.
The arrested person has been identified as Mohammad Nadeem, son of Ghulam Mohammad of District Ramban.
A case under FIR Number 293/2020 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a team from Katra Police Station during checking intercepted a scooty bearing registration number JK20A-3247.
During checking, police team recovered 400 grams poppy straw and 130 intoxicant tablets from the possession of the rider and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Sohan Lal, son of Sham Lal of Naley, Tehsil Katra District Reasi.
A case under FIR Number 175/2020 under section 8/15/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Katra and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Katra Inspector Sunil Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Katra Kuljeet Singh, SP Katra Amit Bhasin and SSP Reasi Rashmi Wazir.
