BARAMULLA, Nov 5: A Women Volleyball Tournament being organised by Uplona Rashtriya Rifles, commenced at village Delina, here today.
About six teams including Blue Club, Striker Club and Sets on The Beach Club from Baramulla district, whereas Al Jawad Sports Academy, Srinagar Volleyball and Panun Kashmir from Ganderbal and Budgam respectively are participating in this tournament.
The participating teams have been divided into two pools. Each team will play two matches in the league stages while final match will be played between two top teams from each pool.
The aim of tournament is to encourage girls to pick up sports as not only a hobby, but also a profession.
