Durga Nagar Committee demands allotment of land for school

JAMMU, Nov 6: Durga Nagar Welfare Committee in its meeting held under the chairmanship of its president, Roshan Lal Raina urged the Government to provide all basic infrastructure to camp Higher Secondary School Durga Nagar so that the students may not face problems.
The meeting which was also attended by Bihari Lal general secretary of the Committee, C L Zutshi, Roshan Lal Koul, Badri Nath, Nana Ji and others also made an appeal to Lt. Governor, Manoj Sinha to issue directives to JDA to allot four Kanals of land near Durga Nagar for the school building.
It expressed concern over the long duration power curtailment which is hampering the water supply in the area and demanded installation of two more 100 KVA transformers in the area. It alleged that the power curtailment and water scarcity has put people to many hardships. It also urged the Chief Engineer, PWD to issued directives to concerned Division to start the premixing work and construction of drains in the area.
