KATHUA, Nov 7: Spring Dales English School Changran today was conferred upon with Lovely Professional University (LPU)’s Transforming Education Award by Governor of Punjab, Vijayender Pal Singh Badnore at LPU Campus Phagwara.
The Transforming Education Awards was conferred upon 11 winning schools, teachers and students across the country.
Sania Billawria and Shanu Sharma of class 11th, Sourav Sethi and Ansh Sharma of class 12th made videos on their inspiring teacher-Usha Gupta which has stood first in the entire J&K UT.
The school has been awarded a grant of Rs 50000, a teacher award of Rs 25000 and Rs 10000 has been awarded to a student who made excellent video. The winning certificates were also awarded to school, teacher and students for their beautiful short film.
The nominations for this year award were invited from September 15, 2019 in the form of an inspirational video which was to be made by students for their teacher and same were uploaded on the Facebook . The selections were made based on voting as well as the appraisal of the teacher.
