JAMMU, Nov 7: Power employees today staged protest against the higher authorities here demanding conduct of DPC and release of pending wages.
The employees under the banner of J&K Central Non-Gazetted Electrical Employees Union (JKCNGEEU) assembled in the JPDCL office near Panama Chowk, Jammu under the leadership of Jagdev Singh and Gurnam Slathia and held protest. They shouted slogans projecting their demands.
The main demands of the employees included regularisation of all the daily rated/ consolidated workers, conduct of DPC without any delay, release of pending wages of the workers of STD 2nd , implement Minimum Wages Act in J&K UT on the pattern of Centre, establishment of training centers for employees at Jammu and inclusion of PDL/TDL/ daily wagers under SRO-43.
