UDHAMPUR, Nov 11: A Police party of Police Station Chenani today rescued eight bovine animals, which were being smuggled to Kashmir in a load carrier.
The load carrier, bearing Registration Number JK03C- 9009, was intercepted by the Police team, led by SHO Chenani, Insp Pushpinder Singh during naka checking at the National Highway.
During search, eight bovine animals were found illegally loaded in the vehicle. All the bovine animals were rescued and the vehicle driver, namely Altaf Hussain son of Mohd Rafiq of Roun Domail, Udhampur was arrested on the spot. In this connection, a case under relevant section of law has been registered at PS Chenani.
