JAMMU, Nov 12: Samar Cricket Club (SCC) defeated Sukhdev Cricket Academy (SCA) by two wickets while Mayank Cricket Club (MCC) trounced Rajouri Cricket XI (RCXI) by nine wickets in league matches of ongoing 8th Eid/Diwali Milan Cricket Championship at KC Sports Club Ground, here today.
In first match, the SCA scored 142 runs by losing 9 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Ritik made 32 runs whereas Ashank and Aryan Slathia contributed 25 and 17 runs respectively. Bhanu, Sumit and Gora took 2 wickets each for SCC.
In reply, SCC chased the target in 19.4 overs. Dhruv Mahajan scored 42 runs while Manjeet Singh and Shantanu made 24 and 18 runs respectively. Sunil, Aryan and Brijesh took 2 wickets each while Ashank and Ayub claimed 1 wicket each for SCA. Dhruv was declared as Man of the Match.
In second match, batting first RCXI made 90 runs in16.2 overs by losing all wickets. Sahil, Sunny Dar and Mehmood made 21, 20 & 10 runs respectively. From the bowling side, Ankush took 3 wickets, Aman took 2 wickets while Sahil, Gourav and Prabjot clinched 1 wicket each.
MCC chased the target in just 7.2 overs by losing single wicket and won the match by 9 wickets. Shubam Pundir made brilliant knock of 58 runs while Ram Dayal scored 19 runs. From bowling side, Naseem took 1 wicket.
The matches were officiated by Ashok Kumar, JD Singh, Vijay Dhar, Sabastian and Sanju.
The tournament is being organised by members of ICA in association with KC Sports Club with slogan “let’s celebrate all festivals together and let’s strive for communal harmony and oneness.’
