RAJOURI, Nov 13: The police seized a vehicle loaded with bovine animals and foiled an attempt to smuggle cattle in Budhal area of Rajouri late this evening.
A police spokesman said that a police naka party intercepted a Tata Mobile vehicle No. JK-20/6755 near Budhal Pulli at around 7.30 pm today. It was darkness and driver of the vehicle jumped out escaped parking vehicle at some distance from the naka.
The police found five bovine animals loaded in the vehicle. The cattle were believed to be smuggled to Kashmir via Mughal Road. The police seized the vehicle and rescued cattle. A case FIR No. 158/ 2020 was registered at Budhal Police Station in this connection.
