Two days U-17 Test Match

JAMMU, Nov 15: Six wickets haul by skipper Nikhil Jamwal guided Singh Juniors to restrict Sunderbani-XI at 108 runs on the Day one of the two days Under-17 Test Match, being played at Government Higher Secondary School Akhnoor, today.
Electing to bat first, Sunderbani-XI scored 108 runs by losing all the wickets in 58.4 overs. Piyush was the top scorer with 28 runs while Shivam scored 22 runs.
For Singh Juniors, skipper Nikhil Jamwal was the wrecker-in-chief who scalped 6 important wickets, while Neeraj Gupta took 3 wickets and Karan scalped 1 wicket.
The second inning could not be started due to rainfall.
Dayal Singh and Stiphen were the umpires during the match while Rahul Sharma acted as scorer.
During the inaugural ceremony, Sham Singh Langeh General Secretary District Jammu JKCA was the chief guest, while Rakesh Malhotra Councillor Ward Number 6, Deepak Mani Councillor Ward Number 10 and Deepesh Singh Councillor Ward Number 11 were the guests of honour.
“It was really a good initiative to build the temperament amongst the young players”, said Sham Singh Langeh.
He encouraged the youth to take part in sports activities to keep their body mentally and physically fit.
