SRINAGAR, Apr 30: A high level delegation of 15 members from Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) headed by Monimoy Das Gupta, Associate Vice President TCS, visited University of Kashmir for recruitment drive, organized by the Centre for Career Planning and Counselling (CCPC), KU.
The team from TCS is scheduled to visit 18 Degree Colleges across the State of Jammu and Kashmir which includes 11 colleges of the Valley in the next 10 days to select bright and talented youth during which both an aptitude test and a personal interview of the registered aspirants will be held.
While presiding over a formal launching recruitment drive ceremony at KU Vice Chancellor Prof Talat said that the drive by TCS was a great opportunity for youth to work with a truly global organization having great culture and value system.
Speaking on the occasion Prof Shabir A Bhat, Director CCPC, KU said that KU has ambitious plans of providing training and employment opportunities to the youth of Jammu and Kashmir and promoting the talent pool of the State.
Monimoy Das Gupta, Associate Vice President, TCS said that their company was always looking for bright and talented youth and added that Kashmiri youth were second to none in terms of their competence and capabilities, but they needed to be trained to make them industry ready.
Gupta said that majority of students from Jammu and Kashmir selected earlier were doing very well in the company.
