Sir,
China, of course, our neighbour and a foxy trade partner appears to have been nurturing the legacy of 1962 war as vindicated by their persistent violation of Indian territorial limit and incursions into the Indian soil. Accordingly, they have assiduously reinforced themselves in all segments of conventional and non conventional warfare that is cyber and nuclear. There is no denying the fact that there is a substantial mismatch in our military prowess vis-a-vis China an undisputed stark reality which no one on Indian side can afford to overlook. There is a serious flaw in our approach to taking a call on such illegal encroachments of serious nature impacting our external security and national sovereignty which radiates a wrong message to the world.
Venturing into our soil to the extent of 25 kms, by the foreign forces is not a small issue. We have learnt no lesson from 1962 debacle and subsequent misadventures of Pakistan in 1965, 1971 wars, Kargil war and terrorist attack on Parliament. Our top leadership have a tendency to relapse into old ruts to the unacceptable limit of repeating the deadly follies time and again which is grossly unwise as well as indicative of our unpatriotic national attitude. This needs immediate attention and comprehensive correction.
China themselves triggered 1962 war operations against India, accomplished their goal of usurping colossal piece of Indian soil and there after declared the war closed on their own. We feel satisfied by holding the parleys on Border issue which till date have produced no results.  China has stubbornly stuck to their position and has not sliced away even an inch of land captured by them in 1962 war. On the top of it, they started laying fresh claims on Indian soil in Arunachal Pradesh and other adjoining areas. This is a clear indication of their expansionist designs.
Yours etc…
