Nanak Nagar, Preet Nagar people meet DDC, highlight issues

JAMMU, May 2: Guru Nanak Nagar/ Preet Nagar Welfare Association led by Manmohan Chowdhary, Ex- Mayor, JMC, met District Development Commissioner (DDC) and apprised him about the problems being faced by them.
Manmohan Chowdhary apprised DDC about the immediate need of mini-bus service, covering Nanak Nagar, Preet Nagar and adjoining areas. He said that the parking of heavy vehicles during no-entry hours and other obstacles like dumping of building material on main roads are creating jams and inconvenience to general public.
Chowdhary urged DDC to immediately remove such hurdles, so that they can conduct their business smoothly.
Manmohan Chowdhary also apprised the DDC about the risks and hazards due to uncovered portion of the big drain along side main road sector 13 and 16 of Nanak Nagar locality.
DDC gave a patient hearing go the issues and assured necessary action at the earliest.
Among others present were Rajinder Singh, president, Gurudwara Sahib, Mohan Lal, Manmohan Khalsa, president, J&K Truck Union, Ashok Kumar, Harmeet Singh, Manjeet Singh, Urmesh Sharma, etc.
