Sadhotra seeks people’s support to reshape developmental landscape of State

Minister for Planning Ajay Kumar Sadhotra inaugurating lanes and drains in Marh constituency on Thursday.

JAMMU,  May 2:  Minister for Planning and Development, Labour and Employment,  Ajay Kumar Sadhotra  today  visited several villages of Marh constituency to inspect the pace of progress on ongoing development works.
The Minister visited Channu Chack, Gurah Shingu, and other adjoining areas where he   inaugurated lanes and drains completed at a cost of Rs 13.50 lakh provided by him out of Constituency Development Fund.
Speaking to locals, the Minister reiterated   the Government’s earnest desire to address the issues of the rural and semi urban areas and also to strive for overall development of the State.
Addressing a public meeting at village Gurah Shingu in Marh Block near here, the Minister said the focus of developmental strategy is to enhance the standard of living of the people and to generate socio-economic opportunities for them.
The Minister asked the people to strengthen the hands of the Government and contribute in the endeavours of Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah towards the development of the State. He said the Coalition Government has registered tremendous achievements in all sectors with the introduction of numerous reformative measures during past four and half years.
However, he, cautioned the people to remain vigilant against the divisive and misleading tactics of vested interests who were hell bent to derail the process of development and progress taken up under the leadership of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
He said the aim of giving representation to the Marh area was to ensure its holistic development and meeting the aspirations of the people. He hoped that the people will continue to support the party for carrying forward the developmental agenda in a big way.
Referring to the problems projected by the people, the Minister said all possible measures will be taken to redress these in a phased manner. He said he was aware of the problems like unemployment and upgrading infrastructural facilities in the area and assured that all these issues would be redressed for special dispensation of the area.
