Rs 13 cr worth State land retrieved in Gole Village

JAMMU, Nov 28: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Jammu Sushma Chauhan, Rajesh Kumar Baru, Tehsildar Jammu West retrieved 13 Kanals of State land worth more than Rs 13 crore in a prime location opposite Indoor Stadium in Village Gole of Tehsil Jammu West.
Deputy Commissioner Jammu has directed all Sub-Divisional Magistrates and Tehsildars during revenue officers meetings to make lists of all such illegal encroachers who have encroached upon State, Kahcharai & Common Land and evict them after following due procedures and laws. She has categorically instructed all revenue officers for zero tolerance against all illegal encroachers in the district.
Taking cognizance of the directions, Rajesh Baru, Tehsildar Jammu West acting tough against encroachers of state land and in exercise of powers vested in him under Section 133 of Land Revenue Act, and based on the recommendatios of field staff has retrieved 13 kanals land bearing Khasra Number 746 in Village Gole.
The anti encroachment drive was carried out in a joint Revenue-Police action by Rajesh Baru, Tehsildar Jammu West, Kosheen Koul SDPO Domana, Chanchal Singh SHO Domana, Amit Sangra Inspector, Vijay Kumar NT Gole, under the overall supervision of Sridhar SSP Jammu and Satish Sharma ADM Jammu.
Pertinent to mention here that Rajesh Baru Tehsildar Jammu West in last one year has retrieved nearly 93 kanals prime state land worth Rs 55 crores in Tehsil Jammu West.
People of the area highly appreciated the tough actions by Tehsildar Rajesh Baru against illegal encroachers under the overall supervision and guidance of Deputy Commissioner Jammu.
