SAMBA, Dec 2: Fire broke out in hardware shop at Sambyal Chowk area of Samba near here, today.
Giving the details, an official said that, the fire broke out during the intervening night in Hardware Store due to short circuit. When the people saw the smoke coming out from the shop of Shiv Karan Singh, son of Ram Singh, resident of Samba they immediately went to spot and informed the owner of the shop. After that owner of the shop came on the spot and people tried to douse the fire with the buckets of water but the fire was not controlled and then they informed to fire tender.
Later the fire tender reached on the spot and controlled the fire but the goods items inside the shop have totally damaged in the fire.
In this regard police has taken cognizance of the matter and started further investigations.
