JAMMU, Dec 5: J&K Taekwondo Association (JKTA) organizing secretary, Anuj Sharma and India team Taekwondo coach and referee received letters of appreciation from embassy of the Republic of Korea for promotion of Korean Martial Art (Taekwondo) in India.
The letters were presented by Shin Bong Kil, Ambassador, Embassy of the Republic of Korea to them on account of their continuous work and efforts in promotion of Taekwondo in India and J&K-UT especially.
“It was first time in the history of Jammu and Kashmir the embassy of Republic of Korea has given appreciation letters to two office bearers of the J&K Taekwondo Association for promotion of Martial Art in India and J&K UT especially,” they claimed .
Jammu & Kashmir Taekwondo Association is the only Association which organized an online based Taekwondo Championship in collaboration with Korean Culture Centre, India (KCC) during the lockdown wherein almost 25 countries participated. The championship was designed both the office bearers.
Kim Kum Pyoung, Director Korean Culture Centre India congratulated the duo for receiving the honorary certificates for sincerely promoting this Olympic sport in India as well as UT of J&K.
