VIJAYPUR, Dec 6: Senior National Conference (NC) leader, Surjeet Singh Slathia today claimed that BJP has let down Jammu on developmental front.
Campaigning for NC candidates in the ongoing District Development Councils (DDC) polls Slathia addressed a series of public meetings at village Trindiyan Jerda, Showni and Ramloo Brahmana in Vijaypur where he claimed that the development works initiated by the NC Government were brought to grinding halt due to wrong policies of BJP.
He also said that the inimical forces are promoting divisive politics as they had nothing to offer to the people.
“These political actors keep self above the people and work for pursuing their own agenda,” he maintained adding that development has become big casualty due to self centric approach of BJP which is now again hoodwinking the public opinion by making false promises and indulging in emotive politics.
Terming NC as a force to reckon with, the NC leader said assuaging political aspirations of the people and undertaking development on a massive scale holds key to steer J&K to peace and prosperity.
“We are committed to ensure equitable development in all the regions and sub-regions of J&K,” he said.
Exhorting the people to participate in large number in the ongoing elections, Slathia said, vote to NC will support development and political stability in J&K.
