JAMMU, Dec 13: Martand Sunrisers Cricket Club trounced Saffron Cricket Club by 36 runs in Veteran KPL tournament, here today.
Batting first, Martand Sunrisers scored 156 runs by losing four wickets wherein Rajinder, Sunil and Guptil contributed 43, 30 and 33 runs respectively, whereas Rajesh Kumar made 25 runs in just 13 balls. From Saffron Cricket Club, Rohan, Sunny and Veeru took one wicket each.
In reply, Saffron Cricket Club failed to chase the target and bundled out at 120 runs by losing all wickets. Rohan made 53 runs, whereas sunny contributed 30 runs. For Martand Sunrisers, Shibu took four important wickets while Guptil clinched three wickets and Rajesh and Sunil bagged one wicket each.
Guptil was declared as man of match for his all round performance.
