BISHNAH, May 25: Government Degree College Bishnah in collaboration with State Aids Prevention and Control Society formed Red Ribbon Club in the College, under the guidance of convener RRC Prof Archana Bakshi and Finance Officer, Prof Hardeep Kour, here today.
Rakesh Jamwal and Shivalee Khajuria were elected as joint conveners whereas Seema Mottan and Surinder Singh were elected as student representatives.
Earlier initiating the proceedings of the programme, Prof Archana Bakshi highlighted the role of RRC in making the people aware of the deadly disease AIDS.
Prof Hardeep Kour educated the students about the causes, prevention and control of this deadly disease.
MLA Bishnah, Ashwani Kumar Sharma who also graced the occasion, lauded the efforts of the institution to constitute RRC in the College. Principal of the College, Kalpana Kesar congratulated the members and students of RRC and motivated the students to donate blood on World Blood Donor Day to be held on June 14, 2012.
