JAMMU, Dec 20: Indira Gandhi Government Dental College organised ‘Run for Health’ here today wherein 100 participants including students, Doctors, Paramedical staff and Administrative staff took part in five kilometres run.
“Amid this pandemic, it was decided to limit the running track within the College premises,” said organiser of the event.
The run was flagged off by Principal of the College, Dr Rakesh Gupta and HoD Orthodontics Dr Akshay Gupta (I/c Sports). Winners were selected from students and staff category and were awarded with appreciation of certificates.
Dr Akshay Gupta advised the runners about the running tips and the value of good health for overall well being. He also motivated students to compete with themselves and be a good athlete for better physical and mental health.
Principal of the College announced that Yoga and Zumab centres will be introduced soon for students and staff in the College. “All the incumbents of the institution to make the campus a green zone by avoiding vehicular moment during working hours,” he added.
