JAMMU, Dec 21: Eight stone crushers, which were operating illegally, were sealed in Sub Division Akhnoor.
As per official sources, in continuation to its drive against illegal miners in Sub Division Akhnoor, a joint team of Geology and Mining Department with the assistance of cops from Police Station Akhnoor led by SHO Inspector Ravi Singh Parihar and Naib Tehsildar Akhnoor sealed 8 stone crushers.
The crushers, which were seized, are Krishna Stone Crusher Daskal, Thakur Stone Crusher Daskal, Lakhan Stone Crusher Parsoti, Krishana Stone Crusher Kotli Hari Singh, Trikuta Stone Crusher Tanda, Manhas Stone Crusher Sangani Akhnoor and two crushers of Shiva Stone Crusher Thathi Pangadi.
The said crushers were running illegally.
Police has warned stern action against defaulters.
