JAMMU, Dec 21: Inter-School District Level (ISDL) selection trials, Department of Youth Services and Sports in discipline of Badminton under AAG girls, concluded at Govt Boys High School Jammu Cantonment, here today.
The participants of different schools of district Jammu participated in the said event. The aim of the selection trial is to select the best players for next level of tournament coming ahead. All the organising committee members and technical officials were present during the competition.
In under-14 yrs girls category, Anjali Devi of GGHS Sohanjana beat Tina of GHS Sher Garh in first semi-final while Saniya Devi of GMS Hakkal defeated Sonia of GMS Kullian in second semifinal. The final match was clinched by Anjali Devi of GGHS Sohanjana by defeating Saniya Devi of GMS Hakkal.
In under-17 yrs girls category, Tanu Bhagat of GHS Sher Garh defeated Janvi of GHS Akalpur while Tanu Bhagat of GHS Sher Garh beat Tannu Devi of GHS Akalpur and Janvi Chib of HGS Aakalpur trounced Tania of GHS Jindrah in first and 2nd semi-final matches respectively.
In under-19 yrs girls category, Palak Sharma of GHSS Jindrah clinched final match by defeating Arti of GHSS Bhour Camp while Palak of GHSS Jindrah beat Kum Kum Sharma GHSS Satwari and Arti of GHSS Bhour Camp got better of Anamika GHSS Jindrah in 1st and 2nd semi-final matches respectively.
The competition was organised overall supervision of Sukhdev Raj Sharma, DYSSO Jammu and Satvinder Kour ZPEO Satwari.
