SRINAGAR, Dec 23: Army today organised Inter Village Volleyball Tournament at Government Boys Middle School, Lountha in North Kashmir’s Tanghdar valley.
Despite the inclement weather, 8 teams from Karnah Valley participated in the championship. The youth contested with high spirits, sportsmanship and enthusiasm. The final was played between Tanghdar and Chhamkot village teams.
Manzoor Ahmad Khan, Chairman, Volleyball Association, Kupwara and a National Volleyball Referee said, “Events like these provide a platform to the players to showcase their talent and potential.”
Danish Qadeer, member of youth association, Tanghdar said, “Engagement of youth in sports activities like these will keep them away from anti social activities, and we wholeheartedly thank Army for organizing such events”.
