KATRA, Dec 27: Department of Youth Services and Sports organised District Level Inter-School (DLIS) Rifle Shooting of all age groups for boys and girls at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Sports Stadium, here today.
Chief Executive Officer, Ramesh Kumar (IAS) was the chief guest, whereas In-charge Sports Stadium Katra, Rajesh Sharma and Youth Services and Sports Officer Reasi, Subash Chander Sharma were the guests of honour.
About15 students of different schools participated in the competition. In 100 mtrs Rifle Shooting sub-junior women category, Gold medal was clinched by Ravina Jangid while Silver medal was bagged by Shraddha Sharma, whereas in 100 mtrs Rifle Shooting Sub-Junior men, Gold medal was clinched by Jaivant Gupta and Silver medal secured by Raj Vansh Thakur.
In 100 mtrs Air Pistol shooting youth men, Gold medal clinched by Swayam Sanson and Silver medal bagged by Amit Sharma, whereas in 100 mtrs Air Pistol shooting youth women category, Gold medal was secured by Diya Khadogtra and Silver medal by Shruti Thakur.
The whole competition was held under the supervision of Riffle Shooting coach of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Sports Stadium, Nawal Kishor Tiwari along with Jagdeep Kumar, Devinder Kour (PEM), Vikas Verma (PET), Rakesh Kumar Sharma (PET), Balbir Singh (PET) and Sahil Sharma (REK).
