JAMMU, Dec 29: Despite qualifying the criteria for the appointment under PM package, the fourty five left out Kashmiri Pandit youth held protest outside Raj Bhavan here today.
The aggrieved candidates with pla-cards and banners in their hands were raising slogans demanding that they be given justice failing which they will be forced to take extreme steps.
The protesting candidates said that they were selected through due course of law and in 2012 they knocked the court of justice in this regard as well but the Government failed to issue the appointment orders in their favour till date forcing them to come to streets.
The protestors said that some of them have become over aged over these years while others are at the verge of overage and the Government’s further delay in giving justice to them will put their career in jeopardy.
“We are protesting from the past 86 days and no one from the Government is bothered about our future”, they said, adding that Lieutenant Governor during his visit to Jagti township also assured them that the issue will be resolved in 15 days, but nothing has been done till today, which forced them to protest in front of Raj Bhavan today.
They warned the Government that in case the appointment orders were not issued in their favour they will take extreme step and the authorities will be responsible for all consequences.
