Shahid Parvez flags off Jammu Vishal CC U-19 Cricket team

JAMMU, Jan 12: Shahid Parvez member Indian Cricket Association (ICA) and former Ranji player of J&K flagged off Jammu Vishal Cricket Club under-19 Cricket team to Amritsar from Green Field Cricket Ground, here today.
The Jammu Vishal Cricket Club under-19 boys cricket team is going to participate in the three match cricket series of 40 overs game with Amandeep Cricket Academy team, which is scheduled to began from January14 at Amandeep Cricket Academy Ground Amritsar.
The tour for the Jammu boys is being arranged by the senior cricketers of J&K and members of the ICA in association with Vishal Cricket Club Jammu under the supervision of Rajesh Gill, former Ranji player with the objective to provide platform to the J&K cricketers, so that they can exhibit their cricket talents and to improve their match temperament while playing with other state players.
Shahid Parvez was the chief guest of the event. He also advised the cricketers to play as a cohesive unit, motivate each other and try to perform well during the tournament.
He also advised all the players and staff for strict compliance of guidelines to tackle COVID-19 by using mask at all times, washing hands regularly, avoid handshakes with other players during match or post match ceremonies etc.
Earlier Rajesh Gill coordinator of the tour said that the aim of the senior cricketers of Jammu & Kashmir is to promote the cricket and cricketers of J&K and because of this reason the Jammu under-19 team is going to play with other State cricket teams, so that the cricketers of J&K get exposure and benefitted.
He also informed that our players will get chance to interact with the national selector Harvinder Singh and India-A player Manish Sharma during the matches.
Others present on the occasion were Avinash Uttam, Madan Mohan, Sanjeev Mahajan, Amit Sharma, Javeer Singh, Davinder Sharma and Rajinder Sharma.
