2 missing, another injured as truck plunges into nallah

JAMMU, Jan 18: Two persons are missing while another was injured after a canter truck they were travelling in plunged into a nallah near Sherbibi area along the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway today early morning.
As per police sources, a truck bearing Registration Number HR38-1633 skidded off the road and fell into a nallah near Sherbibi area along the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and started rescue operation with the help of members of quick response and locals.
The rescuers were able to pull out one person in injured condition and he was later shifted to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Banihal.
The injured has been identified as Sumit (30), son of Subhash, a resident of Hoshiarpur Punjab. He was later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu for advanced treatment.
Driver and conductor on board the truck are missing and the rescuers were in pursuit of finding them when last reports were compiled.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Banihal and investigation started.
