Bovines smuggling bid foiled

JAMMU, Jan 19: Nagrota Police foiled bovines smuggling bid by rescuing 17 cattle and arresting two smugglers.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Police Station Nagrota laid a naka near Ban Toll Plaza and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK08F-6295.
During checking, police team rescued 17 bovine animals from the vehicle and arrested two smugglers, who were identified as Liaqat Ali, son of Wazir Mohammad of District Poonch and Razaq Ali, son of Raj Ali of District Reasi.
A case under FIR Number 20/2021 under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Nagrota Inspector Mohammad Shoket made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Parupkar Singh and SP Rural Jammu Sanjay Sharma.
